Wallpaper

I love wallpaper because they come in a huge dazzling range of patterns and designs. However, after much research, I realise that wallpaper is not really suitable for a hot and humid climate like ours.

Expensive

First of all, wallpapering is more expensive to maintain and also hard to replace. The existing wallpaper has to be stripped prior replacement.

Peel and curl easily

Secondly, the wallpaper glue will come off in a humid climate like ours and when that happens, the wallpaper will peel and curl.

Discolors

Thirdly, wallpaper discolors when exposed to direct sunlight over time.

Easily soiled

Well, wallpaper is easily dirtied if you are not careful.

Hard to find replacement

Lastly, the wallpaper is hard to replace since it is hard to match the original wallpaper when it fades, or when it is damaged.

Nonetheless, the wallpaper quality has been improving by leaps and bounds over the years. Depending on the brand and the quality, wall paper can actually last.
