Kitchen Countertops
There are many kinds of Kitchen Counter tops available in the market. Today, I am going to briefly list down a few of them.
1. Cork.
Cork is water and fire proof, impermeable, durable an environmentally friendly material. It is also resistant to heat and has anti-bacterial properties.
2. Concrete
Concrete is sometime used as kitchen countertops. But needs to be sealed to prevent staining as it is a porous materials.
3. Glass
Recycled glass countertop is available in many colors, designs and easy to care for.
4. Slate
Slate is durable, non-porous and scratch resistant. However, it is not heat resistant and therefore, hot pans and pots should not placed directly on it.
5. Stainless Steel
Stainless Steel is is durable and resilient to water, fire, heat and germs and easy to care for. However, fingerprints are very visible.
